Back in the 19th century the property was the country house of an important family. In the summer of 2005, it opened as a hotel. Relais San Rocco is named after the mountain and little church that overlook it.

The historical centre of Sestri Levante offers many attractions, such as La Baia delle Favole (Bay of Fables), the enchanting Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence) and the rare beauty of the characteristic houses built on the sand around it.
